Purpose
InkLight exists to shine the light of Christ through creative work. By submitting, you agree to help us cultivate a safe, gracious, excellent space for readers and writers.

As a contributor, I commit to:

Christ‑centered posture: Seek to reflect Jesus—His truth, grace, humility, and love—in tone and content.

Encouraging voice: Aim to build up, not tear down. Avoid personal attacks, mockery, or divisive grandstanding.

Integrity & honesty: Share original work or work you have rights to submit. Credit quotes, Scripture translations, and sources. Disclose any AI assistance used.

Excellence: Edit for clarity and craft. Receive editorial feedback with a teachable spirit.

Unity in essentials, charity in non‑essentials: Honor the breadth of the Christian family. Discuss differences with gentleness and respect.

Care with sensitive topics: Handle trauma, abuse, politics, and culture war themes with pastoral wisdom and redemptive intent. Trigger warnings where prudent.

Purity & dignity: No erotic content, gratuitous violence, or dehumanizing language.

Truthfulness: Avoid sensationalism, plagiarism, misinformation, and click‑bait framing.

Community conduct: Interact kindly with editors and fellow writers in comments, emails, and forums.

Prayerful submission: Offer the work—and its impact—to God, trusting His timing and shaping.

We do not publish content that:

Promotes spiritual abuse, hate, harassment, or dehumanization.

Distorts the character of Christ, the gospel, or Scripture for shock or partisanship.

Is primarily a rant, hit piece, or denominational score‑settling.

Violates copyright or legal/ethical standards.

Editorial & Rights

You retain copyright. By submitting, you grant InkLight a non‑exclusive license to edit and publish your piece on our platforms (with proper attribution).

We may request revisions or decline works that don’t fit our mission or standards.

If accepted, you agree to collaborate on reasonable edits for clarity, theology, sensitivity, and craft.

Submission Practicals

Provide a brief bio, headshot (optional), and links you’d like included.

Note any prior publication history.

Flag mature themes and include CW/TW as needed.

Confirm you have consent for any identifiable real‑life stories you share.

Consequences
Violations of this covenant may result in edits, delays, or non‑publication; repeated or serious breaches can lead to loss of contributor privileges.
